Medical Doctor for Epidemiology and Public health Unit

The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is looking for a qualified Medical Doctor to work as a full-time staff at the International Vaccination Center based in Phnom Penh. The initial contract is offered for 12 months contract (renewable), as staff of the Vaccination Service.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The Medical Doctor is based in Phnom Penh at the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge. He/she will play a leading role in the coordination of the clinical management of included participants in the research studies, the planning, coordination, implementation and follow-up of clinical research studies within deadlines and targets, and will work with a multidisciplinary team.
He/she will work under the supervision of the Head of the Clinical Research Group.
He/she will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures of the studies are implemented on study sites;
- Training of onsite clinicians, nurses and other staff on the study;
- Contributing to the screening and recruitment of the study participants;
- Ensuring the clinical management of the participants in collaboration with the clinicians at the study sites and the Principal Investigator of the study and facilitate the clinician to fills the serious Adverse Events (SAE) forms;
- Participating in meetings of the Coordination team;
- Contributing to strengthening the capabilities of clinicians on specific clinical topics when needed;
- Ensuring compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and good clinical practice (GCP), in line with current international standards as well as patient data protection standards
- Working in coordination with the study investigators and representatives of the national programs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Medical Degree
- Experience in the clinical management of HIV and tuberculosis
- Ability to manage and lead teams
- In-depth knowledge of the medical and hospital environment
