On Friday January 26, 2024, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) was honored to receive a visit from H.E. Prof. CHHEANG Ra, Minister of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia, accompanied by :

• H.E. Prof. HUN Chamroeun, Advisor to Samdech Thipadei HUN Manet and Advisor to Ministry of Health
• H.E. Prof. KOY Vanny, Secretary of State
• H.E. Prof. LEM Dara, Secretary of State
• H.E. Dr. SUNG Vinntak, Secretary of State
• H.E. Dr. HOK Kimcheng, Director General for Health
• H.E. Prof. SOK Chour, Deputy Director General of Health
• Dr. THEME Viravann, Director of Department of International Communication
• Dr. HIM Sokrey, Deputy Director of Department of International Communication

The Prof. André SPIEGEL, Director of the IPC, presented to H.E. Prof. CHHEANG Ra, Minister of Health, and his Delegation, the general situation, activities, laboratories/technical platforms and progress of the Institute. It was also an opportunity to highlight the close links between the Ministry of Health and the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge. H.E. Prof. CHHEANG Ra and his Delegation then visited various IPC facilities, including (1) the Rabies Prevention Center, (2) the Medical Biology Laboratory, (3) the Virology Unit and (4) the Malaria Research Unit. At the end of the visit, H.E. Prof. CHHEANG Ra also granted an audience to the Directors and Scientific Staff of the IPC.
