On January 25, 2024, the Professor André Spiegel, Director of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC), hosted a German Delegation from the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) at the Institute. The visit was carried out at the request of Secretary of State of the German Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, Dr. Jochen Flasbarth, as part of a new German-Cambodian financial cooperation project on the “One Health” initiative, focusing on antimicrobial resistance.  The Secretary of State wanted to talk to a number of experts from the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, to get a clearer idea of the current situation in Cambodia, and the challenges and projects in the field of antimicrobial resistance. It was also an excellent opportunity to inform him of the important work accomplished by the IPC.

The visit provided an opportunity for interesting discussions and exchanges with the members of the delegation. The meeting ended with a visit to the bacteriology laboratory.
