On Friday November 3, 2023, His Excellency Prof. Chheang Ra, Minister of Health, received a courtesy call from Professor André Spiegel, Director of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC), Dr Ly Sowath, Deputy Director of the IPC, and Dr Duong Veasna, Head of the IPC Virology Unit.

His Excellency Prof. Chheang Ra thanked the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge for its ongoing cooperation in the field of human resources training, knowledge sharing, laboratory work and research skills for the public interest and well-being of the population.

Prof. SPIEGEL recalled the close links of the MOH with the IPC on an institutional level (IPC under the high patronage of MoH, Minister of Health President of Liaison Council, etc.) and close collaboration of the Institute with different structures of the MoH (CDC-MOh, NIPH, CNM, NCHADS,…)

The MoH also affirmed its support for the development of infrastructure on the IPC campus (IPC 2030 project)  and said that MoH Ministry will continue to cooperate with the Institute to achieve global health coverage in line with the Royal Government’s 7th Mandate Strategic Plan under the leadership of Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
