On Thursday October 26, 2023, H.E. Dr Eang Sophalleth, Cambodian Minister of the Environment, invited Prof. André Spiegel, Director of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC), Dr. Ly Sowath, Deputy Director of the IPC, and Dr. Duong Veasna, Head of the IPC Virology Unit, for a courtesy visit and a discussion aimed at furthering cooperation in the promotion of ecology, animal disease research, food safety and health, and pesticide resistance.

Professor André SPIEGEL thanked the Minister for the meeting. At the same time, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge will continue to cooperate in implementing scientific activities related to wildlife, ecology, animal disease research and surveillance, food safety and immunity in accordance with the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Cambodia.

H.E. Dr Eang Sophalleth thanked the IPC for its past cooperation in the field of public health in contributing to the prevention and control of Covid 19 with the Royal Government of Cambodia. In addition, the Minister also urged the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge to review the welfare protection of park rangers for environmental protection.
