Visit of the CEO of the French Development Agency to the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge
On Tuesday 21st February, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge had the pleasure of welcoming a delegation from the French Development Agency (AFD) led by its Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Rémy RIOUX. This delegation was made up of two French parliamentarians (Mrs. Barbara POMPILI, Mrs. Anne GENETET), Mr. Philippe BAUMEL (AFD Paris), Mr. Jean Pierre MARCELLI (Regional Director of AFD for the South-East Asia Region) and Mrs. Sandrine BOUCHER, Mr. Emmanuel DOLLFUS, Mrs. Malika OK, members of the AFD Phnom Penh Agency.
This visit was the occasion of a general presentation of the activities of the institute by Prof André SPIEGEL, Director of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge and a visit of the campus with a presentation of 3 entities: the Rabies Prevention Center (Dr. PENG Yik Sing), the Virology Unit (Dr. Heidi AUERSWALD) and the Medical and Veterinary Entomology Unit (Dr. Sébastien BOYER).
Discussions took place on the important partnerships developed by AFD and IPC in the past (Biological Safety Laboratory Level 3, ECOMORE 1 & 2 projects) and possible future collaborations.
The AFD CEO’s mission in Cambodia was part of the 30th anniversary of AFD agency in Phnom Penh.
