Institut Pasteur du Cambodge Celebrates Khmer New Year
On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) organized celebration for all employees in honor of Khmer New Year, one of the most significant holidays in Cambodia. This festive occasion marks the end of the dry season and the start of the traditional harvest season.
Over 280 guests gathered for the event, creating a lively atmosphere for all to enjoy. The evening was filled with engaging activities, including a diner, a live band performance, a lucky draw, and a fun dancing game that added to the festive spirit.
Professor André Spiegel, Director of IPC, and Dr. Ly Sowath, Deputy Director of IPC, shared words of gratitude at the beginning of the event, extending their warm wishes for a joyful Khmer New Year to everyone present.
Earlier in the afternoon, a traditional ceremony took place at the IPC, where Buddhist monks recited blessings to honor ancestors, relatives, and friends, ensuring that merits were passed on for their well-being.
The Management thanks everyone who contributed to the success of this important event in the life of the IPC: Staff Representatives and Human Resources Department and all the volunteers of the different units and laboratories.
