SEA ROADS Project: Strengthening Regional Collaboration for Dengue Surveillance in Southeast Asia

As part of the Southeast Asia – Regional One Health Approach for Dengue Surveillance (SEA-ROADS) project, a team from Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) and Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) visited Vientiane, Laos, on February 6–7, 2025, to coordinate with regional partners. The visit included meetings with the National Center for Laboratory and Epidemiology (NCLE) and the Centre of Malariology, Parasitology, and Entomology (CMPE) to strengthen collaboration.

Key discussions focused on:

o Enhancing entomological surveillance procedures

o Improving data sharing mechanisms

o Defining the next steps for seamless project implementation

This initiative reflects a strong regional commitment to fighting dengue and marks a significant step toward protecting urban populations from this growing public health threat.
