CESRI delegation visit at IPC – November 5th to 8th
The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) was pleased to host the meeting of the Committee for the Evaluation of Scientists of the International Network (CESRI) from 5 to 8 November 2024. This committee meets annually to evaluate the national scientific staff with the status of ‘International Network Scientists’ of six Pasteur Network member institutes: the CERMES in Niger, the Centre Pasteur in Cameroon, the Institut Pasteur de Bangui, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, the Institut Pasteur de Dakar and the Institut Pasteur de Madagascar.
CESRI is made up of 8 members elected from among the scientists from these 6 institutes and external members appointed on the basis of their high level of expertise. Over the course of the four days, the committee assessed career advancements, including promotions and the integration of more than 70 scientific personnel .
CESRI members also visited the various IPC laboratories to gain a better understanding of the working conditions of IPC scientists. This committee is important for the life of the institutes, as it provides an external assessment of the scientists in these 6 establishments and enables fruitful meetings to take place between the scientists of the NP every year. It will meet next year at the Institut Pasteur in Madagascar.
