On October 23, IPC welcomed a delegation from the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health, Australian National University. This visit by Dr. Rosa and Dr. Esabelle Yam was part of a program designed to build a strong applied epidemiology community across the Pacific and Southeast Asia. For SEA, the focus is enhancing the applied epidemiology workforce is Cambodia and Laos. This initiative emphasizes advanced learning pathways, multi-sector collaborations, and networks to effectively respond to health security and public health threats. Dr. Sowath Ly, Deputy Director of IPC, presented an overview of IPC and its activities, followed by a tour of the Virology Unit led by Dr. Erik Karlsson, Deputy Head of the Unit.
