One Health’s Media Training: ‘’press conference’’ Exercise at IPC
The “Media for One Health” project, operated by CFI Media, the French media development agency, aims to raise awareness about the One Health approach among populations and media outlets in Southeast Asia. As part of this initiative, Institut Pasteur du Cambodge hosted a delegation of Cambodian journalists on Thursday, August 1st, to train them in press conference reporting.
The agenda for the day began with a welcoming address from the Director of IPC. The journalists then took part in a tour of IPC’s rabies facilities, including the Preventive Rabies Centre, Virology Unit, and P3 lab, guided by Dr. Yiksing and Dr. Heidi. This was followed by a “Press Conference” exercise on rabies, where Dr. Auerswald, Dr. LY Sowath, Dr. PENG Yiksing, and Dr. Tephanie SIENG addressed questions from the 13 journalists involved in the project.
This collaboration highlights IPC’s commitment to advancing rabies prevention efforts and engaging with the media to enhance public awareness on One health challenges.
