The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 250 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 22 nationalities and includes 5 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, vaccinations and water and food analyses) and training.

The lnstitut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is recruiting a full-time laboratory technician in the Laboratory of Environment and Food Safety for a 12-months contract (renewable).

Recruitment conditions:

• Based in Phnom Penh
• Available to start: August 5^th, 2024

Main responsibilities:

The main responsibility of the laboratory technician is to perform the tasks as below.

• • Reception and registration of LEFS samples
  • Edition and archiving results
  • Food microbiological testing
  • Water physico-chemical testing
  • Culture media production and quality control
  • Sampling sample around Phnom Penh

Candidate Profile:

The successful candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• Good knowledges in microbiology and chemistry especially in food safety
• Mastering of good laboratory practices
• Mastering internet and computer skills
• Experience with ISO17025 is plus
• Possessing valid Tuk Tuk driving license is plus
• Rigorous, sense of responsibilities
• Dynamic character, eager to learn, sociable and enthusiastic
