MoU signing ceremony between IPC and UHS
On May 23, 2024, Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) and the University of Health Sciences (UHS) held a significant event to renew their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The ceremony featured speeches by Professor Saphonn Vonthanak, Rector of UHS, and Prof. André Spiegel, Director of IPC, followed by the formal signing and a symbolic exchange of gifts.
This MoU, originally signed in 2013 and renewed in 2018, underscores the enduring collaboration between IPC and UHS. It facilitates joint research, advanced training for staff and students, and scientific exchange. The agreement aims to amplify their impact on public health in Cambodia.
Key achievements from this collaboration include (i) the Master of Infectious Diseases program, (ii) regular joint seminars, and (iii) numerous collaborative research projects, particularly in clinical research. Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to advancing public health through this strategic partnership.
The event highlighted the strong ties between IPC and UHS and their shared dedication to improving health outcomes in Cambodia.
