On Monday May 6, 2024, the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) inaugurated with the Ministry of Health its new Rabies Prevention Center in Kampong Cham. This new IPC-KC PHD Rabies Prevention Center replaces the previous one installed in 2019 inside the hospital.

The new center is a single-storey building of 180 m2 (12 meters wide by 15 meters long) particularly well suited to its functions, because designed through to the experience acquired over several years by the IPC teams in this area.

Located within the hospital but with its own access to the outside the center is more accessible and benefit from immediate proximity to the hospital. It will allow patient care in the best reception and safety conditions.

The ceremony was held under the present HE. Dr. Ngov Kang, Secretary of State, MoH, as well as HE. HAN Kosal, the Deputy Provincial Governor of the Kampong Cham Province, the Directors and Deputy Directors of the Provincial Health Department (PHD) and the IPC.

After several speeches and an inauguration ceremony, the morning ended with a tour of the new facilities.
