A conference entitled " Institut Pasteur du Cambodge: 70 years of public health and research in Cambodia " at the Institut français du Cambodge.
Professor André Spiegel, Director of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, gave a conference entitled ” Institut Pasteur du Cambodge: 70 years of public health and research in Cambodia ” on Saturday September 16 at 5.30pm at the Institut français du Cambodge in Phnom Penh.
Around a hundred people attended, including the French Ambassador to Cambodia, His Excellency Mr Jacques Pellet and the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Health, His Excellency Professor Koy Vanny.
Institut Pasteur du Cambodge, founded in 1953, will be celebrating 70 years of presence in the Kingdom in 2023. After presenting the background to the creation of various Pasteur institutes around the world, Prof. André Spiegel outlined the Institute’s various activities in Cambodia since its creation in 1953 in the fields of research, public health and training in the Pasteurian spirit, always aiming for the highest standards and quality.
This conference was organized as part of the European Heritage Days, and also to mark the 70th anniversary of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge.
