On Thursday June 9^th and Friday June 10^th, Professor André Spiegel, Dr. Ly Sowath and Dr. Peng Yiksing, respectively Director, Deputy Director and Head of the Vaccine Service of the Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC), went to Battambang to meet the team of the Rabies Prevention Center.

The IPC opened a Rabies Prevention Center in the province in 2018. As of 2021, it provided Rabies Post Exposure Prophylaxis to more than 12000 patients from Battambang and the neighboring provinces.

Dr. VOEURNG Bunreth and Dr OUK Vithiea, respectively Director and Deputy-director of the Provincial Health Department (PHD) of Battambang also welcomed the trio to strengthen the relationship between two parties and to better understanding the challenges/suggestions from PHD on rabies mission and other cooperation projects in the province.

The two days visit was an opportunity to meet with Dr KAK Seila, Director of Provincial Hospital of Battambang where the Rabies Prevention Center sits.
