Latest research on Japanese Encephalitis Virus from Virology and Medical Entomology scientist
Researchers from Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) have just published an important work on the ecology of the Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV), i.e. its distribution, its evolution and its different modes of transmission worldwide.
This publication together with 2 other scientific articles on the feeding behavior and the vector competence of the main mosquito vector species highlight the dynamism of the JEV research at IPC.
Indeed, the synergistic work of the Virology and Medical Entomology units of the IPC, in particular on Japanese encephalitis and Dengue diseases, allows the advancement of knowledge in the fight against these infectious diseases.
