The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) had the great pleasure to welcome HE M. Jacques Pellet, French Ambassador in Cambodia on December 3rd, 2021. The two and a half hours long visit was the occasion for the Director, Prof. André Spiegel, to present the wide range of life sciences and public health research activities conducted by the scientists as well as the services to the public delivered by the IPC.

HE M. Jacques Pellet met with several team members of the IPC while he visited some of our services dedicated to public such as the Rabies Prevention Center, the Medical Biology Laboratory and International Vaccination Center.

Also, researchers of the Virology, the Medical and Veterinary Entomology and Malaria Molecular Epidemiology units had to the opportunity to introduce their scope of research and facilities to the French ambassador and his delegation.

The French ambassador praised the work accomplished by Institut Pasteur du Cambodge in benefit of public health and the research conducted by the scientists.

Prof. André Spiegel mentioned the achievements are a great example of the importance of long-term cooperation between Cambodia and France.
